I was fortunate enough to take a week off of work in October to go home to my parents and spend time with them and my mom’s brother and sister. They flew out from Utah and California and it was the first time that we have all been together since my grandfather’s funeral six years ago. My brother also made it up from Columbus for a couple nights as well. We had a great time going apple picking, hiking, drinking and just spending time together. What follows is an account of some of our time together. Full disclosure: My brother, Ryan, took photos 19, 21 and 24. Thanks Ryan.
Recently I shot a story for The New York Times about rising poverty levels in the suburbs of Cleveland. Here are a few shots that ran and some that did not. This is hopefully the beginning of a project that I can turn into something longer term.
