Garretsville, Ohio

On March 22, a fire started in downtown Garretsville, Ohio, a town with a population of just over 2000. The blaze started at one historic building and spread, burning down an entire city block and destroying 13 businesses. Over 30 fire stations responded to the fire but once it was under control, there was not much left of the historic block. 03232014_Garretsville_B&W-1

The 179th Airlift Wing for The Washington Post

I had the opportunity to shoot a story last November for The Washington Post about an Airforce National Guard Base in Mansfield, Ohio. It is fighting to stay in operation and was fascinating to see how a base like this runs and what so many hard working individuals do on a daily basis to help keep us civilians safe. Check out the story, it is really great and for more photos there is a gallery here.
